Job Title: Experienced Automotive Mechanic

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced automotive mechanic to join our team at Express Employment in Toledo, Ohio. As an automotive mechanic, you will be responsible for performing a variety of repairs and maintenance services on vehicles to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and Troubleshoot Mechanical Issues: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in various makes and models of vehicles using your expertise and knowledge of automotive systems.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance Services: Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs, to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Repair or Replace Faulty Components: Repair or replace faulty components using necessary tools and equipment to restore vehicles to their optimal performance.
  • Communicate with Customers: Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle issues and recommended services to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain Knowledge and Skills: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive technologies and repair methods to stay current with industry developments.
  • Complete Documentation: Complete all documentation accurately and efficiently to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure Safety Protocols: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations in the shop to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician or in a similar role.
  • Certifications: ASE certification preferred but not required.
  • Skills and Qualities: Strong knowledge of automotive systems, components, and repair techniques; excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year based on experience and location.
