Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at Ascension Via Christi. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing education to patients and families.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Licensure / Certification / Registration:
    • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification within 6 months of hire date.
    • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
    • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing.
  • Education:
    • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or professional licensure at time of hire.
