Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Aerospace Machinist to join our team at Boeing. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for developing solutions to complex machining challenges and mentoring other machinists in resolving issues and completing job responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and revise Machine Control Data (MCD) and geometry to ensure accurate and efficient machining operations.
- Collaborate with technical counterparts to develop solutions to complex out-of-sequence emergent production machining challenges.
- Assist in defining methods of operations and sequences to meet company and customer objectives.
- Interpret high-level requirements to successfully complete complex non-routine machining operations.
- Mentor other machinists in resolving issues and completing job responsibilities.
Requirements:
- 10 or more years of experience using manual machining equipment, including mill, lathe machines, and drill press.
- 10 or more years of experience setting up fixtures, operating, and programming CNC machines.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and support frequent standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights with or without equipment assistance.
- Ability to lead and train other employees.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Able to perform turning, forming, straight and angle drilling, boring, thread chasing, facing, cutting, reaming, and precision grinding.
- Experience operating material handling equipment.
