Antioch Unified School District is dedicated to serving a diverse population of over 16,150 students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Our district comprises thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools, and one K-8 institution.

Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the supervision of an assigned administrator, provide essential instructional support and assistance to certificated educators and students within a designated special education program; engage in various support activities related to behavior management and classroom instruction for special education students; perform a range of clerical support tasks associated with classroom and program operations.
This role primarily serves students enrolled in Resource Specialist Programs or those with Mild/Moderate needs.Requirements / Qualifications

Step A $25.81 (Min.) to Step F $33.03 (Max.)

EDUCATION/
EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to:
Graduation from high school or equivalent; experience working with children in an educational or childcare environment; or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.
Licenses and other requirements:
Valid First Aid and CPR Certification must be obtained within six (6) months from the date of hire.
EVERY STUDENT SUCCEEDS ACT (ESSA)
FEDERAL REQUIREMENT:
Degree or completion of 48 semester units from an accredited college or university or district assessment/county certificate showing compliance with ESSA are required.
SELECTION &
EXAMINATIONS:
The selection process will consist of a competitive application screening for completeness, qualifications, and experience. Application evaluation (weighted 10%) and an oral interview exam (weighted 90%) will be conducted. A passing score must be achieved on each portion to be placed on the eligibility list. Final interviews for specific vacancies will be scheduled from the approved eligibility list.
