Job Summary

We are seeking a Behavior Specialist to join our team at Spectrum Center Schools and Programs. As a Behavior Specialist, you will play a critical role in implementing and supporting our positive behavior support program in schools and classrooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement individual, group, and systems-level interventions to promote positive academic, social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes.
  • Reinforce and redirect negative behaviors while modeling positive strategies for staff.
  • Maintain and update records related to student behavior strategies and plans.
  • Collect and chart behavioral data to inform instruction and IEP teams.
  • Support teachers and staff in monitoring student behavior and implementing classwide behavior management systems.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a basic skills test.
  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred.
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain crisis management certification.
  • Prior experience working with students with severe learning, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
