Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Essentia Health Moose Lake Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing technical support to our surgical team, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including positioning and draping
  • Operate and maintain surgical equipment, including sterilizers and suction machines
  • Pass instruments to surgeons during procedures, maintaining a sterile field
  • Monitor and maintain patient vital signs during surgery
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient procedures
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or completion of an Essentia Health Surgical Technologist Apprentice Training Program
  • National certification (NCCT) within 12 months of hire, if hired following completion of an approved Essentia Health apprenticeship program
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a 0.9 FTE schedule, working every 3rd weekend rotation. The shift rotation includes day, evening, and night shifts, with a compensation range of $35.00 per hour.
