Position Overview:

The Emergency Services Technician plays a crucial role in assisting with the care of patients across all age groups, from infants to the elderly, under the supervision of registered nurses and emergency physicians. This position also encompasses clerical and administrative responsibilities.

Qualifications:
  • Must possess a current CNA or EMT-B certification.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a CNA or EMT-B.
  • BLS certification is required and must be maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to patient call lights and assist with inquiries.
  • Manage telephone communications and direct calls appropriately.
  • Understand trauma protocols and notify the necessary team members upon patient admission.
  • Assist in patient preparation for assessments by obtaining vital signs and preparing necessary equipment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain proficiency in point-of-care testing.
  • Document all relevant patient information accurately in the electronic health record system.
  • Assist with the setup of procedure trays and perform basic wound care as needed.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper stocking of medical supplies in treatment areas.

Essential Credentials:
  • BLS certification.

Educational Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
