This role is situated within a dynamic healthcare environment, focusing on delivering high-quality speech and language services to individuals of varying ages. The position is full-time, requiring a commitment of at least 40 hours per week, with a schedule primarily from Monday to Friday.

Compensation:
Hourly wage ranges from $31.21 to $35.58, commensurate with education and experience. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is available, distributed in equal installments over five years, with the first payment occurring after one year of service.

Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid license from the New York State Education Department as a Speech Pathologist.
- Provisional certification as a NYS Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped or NYS Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) is required.
- Specialized training or a minimum of one year of experience in treating individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Certification of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) is essential.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the effective delivery of speech and language therapy services.
2. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to develop and evaluate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for children.
3. Conduct assessments to evaluate communication abilities and develop tailored service plans.
4. Provide direct speech therapy services to children in early intervention and preschool programs, as well as adults in various programs.
5. Participate in professional development activities and maintain compliance with certification requirements.
6. Ensure accurate documentation of services and adherence to Medicaid billing standards.

Work Environment:
This position operates in both clinical and educational settings, utilizing standard office equipment and requiring occasional travel for home visits and meetings.

Physical Requirements:
Employees must be able to perform essential functions, which may include lifting and handling materials weighing over 30 pounds. Regular communication and interaction with clients are integral to the role.

Professional Standards:
All therapists are expected to uphold ethical and professional conduct, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate effective communication and organizational skills. Continuous professional development is mandated to ensure compliance with ASHA standards.
