Painter/Insulator Job Description

Tecnico Corporation is seeking a skilled Painter/Insulator to join our team. As a key member of our coatings team, you will be responsible for applying coatings to various surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish and adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply coatings to surfaces using various techniques and equipment, including sandblasting and spraying.
  • Protect surfaces from the environment by applying coatings that meet functional and cosmetic requirements.
  • Operate and maintain spray paint equipment, including air and airless type paint pumps, spray guns, and hoses.
  • Knowledge of various painting systems and procedures for mixing single and multi-component coating systems.
  • Ensure coatings meet Wet Film Thickness (WFT) and Dry Film Thickness (DFT) requirements.
  • Present work free of holidays, sags, runs, and other coating defects.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and seek assistance with weights over 50 pounds.
Requirements:
  • 1st Class = 4-5 years of experience as a Painter in a shipyard.
  • Ability to pass Drug Screening and Work Ability Screening.
  • Ability to obtain a Government facility security pass.
Working Conditions:
  • Outside weather conditions.
  • High, precarious places.
  • Exposed to fumes and airborne particles.
  • Very loud noise level.
