Position Overview
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is in search of a full-time, board-certified or eligible family medicine physician to enhance our Department of Family and Community Medicine. The academic rank and track will be determined based on the candidate's academic credentials and experience.
Department Insights
Our department is comprised of 83 faculty members, 6 fellows, and 27 residents, and continues to expand each year. We encompass a diverse range of specialties including sports medicine, occupational medicine, integrative medicine, behavioral health, and health services research alongside family medicine. Our faculty also engage in medical student education through practicum lectures and clinical rotations.
Clinical Responsibilities
Family medicine practices at our centers provide comprehensive primary care services, which include but are not limited to physical examinations, wellness care, pediatric services, management of sports-related injuries, women's health, acute care, chronic disease management, family and marital counseling, psychological services, minor surgical procedures, care coordination, and nutritional counseling.
Supportive Team Environment
Our family medicine teams consist of physicians, residents, nurse care coordinators, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, dietitians, medical assistants, and mental health professionals, all collaborating to deliver exceptional personalized healthcare.
Qualifications
- Completion of Family Medicine residency training
- Board Certified or Eligible
- Eligibility for a medical license in the State of Ohio
- Qualification for an academic appointment at the assistant or associate professor level, with rank and salary reflecting prior training and experience
