The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our long-term care pharmacy, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This role requires a strong leader who can manage a team of pharmacists, technicians, and interns to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to improve pharmacy operations, including workflow optimization and cost reduction.
- Monitor and audit controlled substances to prevent diversion and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Manage pharmacy staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate with the care coordination team to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and processes to promote safe and effective medication use.
- Compile and analyze reports to track key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement.
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
- Active Tennessee Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist license.
- 5-10 years of progressive management experience in a long-term care pharmacy.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Knowledge of pharmacy industry regulations, including Medicaid and CMS.
This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be able to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a standard office environment with occasional travel required.
