Cloud Software Engineer

We are seeking a talented Cloud Software Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and deploying software applications on cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coding, debugging, testing, and collaborating with senior engineers to ensure scalability, reliability, and security of cloud-based systems.
  • Designing and developing automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms, compute cluster monitoring tools.
  • Experience with Java programming for distributed systems, OpenSource (NoSQL) products, Map/Reduce, Hadoop (HDFS), Hive, Pig, JavaScript, Big-Data Cloud Scalability.
  • Experience with Accumulo internals, to include configuring, tuning, and testing Accumulo in many configurations (>200 node clusters).
  • Experience in networking and multi-threading, Agile development experience, Linux fundamentals and knowledge.
  • Familiarity with source code management practices and tools, Git, Maven, Jira.
  • Experience with CI/CD testing, Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab, CI/Pipelines, continuous monitoring, ELK Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana), microservices software development techniques and container-orchestration (Kubernetes).

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must hold an active clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in a computer science related field is required.
  • 0-2 years of experience.
  • Hadoop or Cloud certification is required.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves sedentary work with physical requirements expected for at least 50% of the time. Essential functions include prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and talking.
