Job Summary

Flowers Baking Co. Lenexa, LLC is seeking a skilled Production Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our production team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe production of our baked goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Oversight: Direct the operation of shift production, including checking formulas, assigning work tasks, and monitoring procedures to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Employee Training and Development: Ensure that production technicians and outsourced labor are properly instructed in the care and safe operation of equipment and monitor employee use of such equipment.
  • Quality Control: Perform continuous inspections of the product to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all equipment is in good operating condition.
  • Employee Relations: Promote positive employee relations and interdepartmental communication and cooperation.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel through enforcement of safety policies and procedures, including inspections and periodic safety meetings.
  • Workforce Planning: Plan and adjust work assignments of personnel to cover all phases of production.
  • Disciplinary Action: Make recommendations on disciplinary action and participate in the disciplinary action process as necessary.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness of work area.
Requirements
  • Experience: Two (2) or more years of experience in all areas of plant production work.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalence. Completion of AIB Bakery Science Residence Program.
