Job Description and Position Requirements:

Penn State University invites applications for a Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor of Information Technology position. The successful candidate will be able to teach courses within the Information Technology baccalaureate program, ranging from introductory subjects in technology, programming, systems analysis and design, and databases, to upper-level courses in advanced information technology subjects.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with faculty at other campuses to deliver a portion of the curriculum statewide each semester using traditional in-person, hybrid, and online delivery methods. The successful applicant is expected to participate in course, curriculum, and program development; advise students; provide career guidance; participate in campus, University, and community service activities; and engage in activities to stay current in one's discipline.

Qualifications: A minimum of a master's degree in information technology, cybersecurity, computer sciences, or a related discipline from an accredited institution is required. Preference will be given to applicants with specific expertise in database, networking, information security, enterprise systems, data analytics, cloud computing, programming, data science, gaming and app development, or other emerging topics in the information technology field. The successful applicant will have demonstrated commitment and advocacy for diversity in the workplace.
