We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Technician to join our team at ECS Limited. As a Senior Field Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction materials on our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Field Activities: Conduct on-site observations, testing, sampling, and inspections of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement.
- Testing Procedures: Perform routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement using various methodologies and testing equipment, adhering to industry standards and compliance.
- Data Collection: Collect and analyze data from sampling, test results, and inspections, and prepare field reports documenting site observations.
- Communication: Maintain daily communication with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers, keeping them informed of changing site conditions and additional testing requirements.
- Training and Development: Participate in training programs and certification opportunities to enhance your professional skills and knowledge.
- 2+ years of related experience in construction materials testing and inspection.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current basic level certifications and willingness to obtain additional advanced certifications.
- OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift 40-70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lift 85 lbs to waist height.
- Valid driver's license and insurance.
- Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Excellent understanding of heavy construction safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.
- Proficiency with electronic devices such as phones, tablets, and laptops.
- Strong math skills with the ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans.
