Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly sterilized and organized.
- Assist the surgeon and registered nurse during surgical procedures, providing support and maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.
- Monitor and maintain aseptic technique, ensuring that all surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned and sterilized.
- Participate in the planning and setup of surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Assist in the handling and labeling of surgical specimens, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all procedures are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology or Nursing Program
- Formal education/training may be substituted for individuals with 3+ years of prior experience as a surgical tech
