Aircraft Component Repair Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Repair Control Associate to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As a key member of our repair control team, you will be responsible for coordinating and administering aircraft component and major assembly repairs from pre-planning to post-service follow-up.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate, real-time records of parts out to vendors for overhaul/repair and pursue the process through to completion.
- Coordinate with spares inventory control and in-house shops to ensure timely delivery of detail parts for overhaul/repair of company and customer-owned parts.
- Coordinate the repair/overhaul of exchange units and liaise with other departments for in-house shops on correct pricing for customer-owned property.
- Build customer and vendor relationships to meet customer aircraft parts requirements and process customer-owned property to vendors for repair/overhaul.
- Analyze reports to monitor vendor delivery schedules and ensure timely turnaround of repaired/overhauled items.
- Maintain admin files and submit reports governing the repair/overhaul program as required.
- Maintain contact with customers, field representatives, and outside sales representatives to fulfill any and all parts requirements.
- Work with the finance department to ensure customer credit lines are established and coordinate induction invoices.
- Work in concert with the Purchasing department and in-house repair shops to provide accurate pricing and quotes in a timely manner for aircraft components being repaired/overhauled.
- Monitor the cost of ongoing customer property repairs/overhauls, job charging, and parts purchasing to maintain the dollar amount quoted to the customer.
- Takes a proactive approach to coordinate with credit reps and assures all accounts stay in good standing.
- Work closely with customers and Gulfstream sites to ensure that repair/overhaul requirements are fulfilled, schedules are met, pricing is accurate, and components are shipped.
- Ensures invoices, including supplemental bills, are processed within established guidelines.
- Participate in training new staff members and impart business knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Prepare reports pertaining to the current status of work orders, analyze, and take necessary actions to update customers and follow up with internal work groups.
- Work directly with outside vendors to achieve the highest quality and quickest turn-around possible to ensure absolute support of the aircraft.
- Monitor group email and assign to Repair Control Associates or respond to customers as appropriate.
- Coordinate additional support for customer repairs/overhauls, including rental or loaner units, special vendor exchanges, vendor warranty, etc.
- Assist the Product Support business office in resolving accounts receivables issues.
- Provide support to outside R&O sales managers (pricing, quotes, and customer inquiries).
- Basic understanding of cost control financial principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to read and interpret applicable aircraft maintenance manuals, IPCs, ASCs, CBs, and service bulletins.
- Must be computer literate and use necessary software (Microsoft Office products are required, and Microsoft Access is preferred).
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
