Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personal care and behavioral assistance to assigned students.
- Support students with:
- Classroom engagement
- Personal grooming
- Meal preparation and eating
- Toileting needs
- Assist with mobility and transfer services.
- Manage challenging behaviors and crisis situations.
- Promote student independence.
- Ensure student safety at all times.
- Implement individualized behavioral plans.
- Confirm any changes in assignments with appropriate verification.
- Maintain weekly communication with Amergis office staff regarding scheduling.
- Document care in accordance with Amergis policies and procedures.
- Complete communication notes or incident reports promptly when necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Associate's degree in behavioral studies or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Proficient in verbal and written English.
- Current Health Certificate (if applicable).
- Valid CPR certification.
- Recent TB Skin test or Chest X-ray.
- Successful completion of the company's testing process.
