Maintenance Operations Director

Overview: Lhoist North America is a leading company in the lime and minerals industry, committed to providing innovative solutions for our customers. We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team.

About the Role: As a Maintenance Manager at Lhoist North America, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our facilities, ensuring that all equipment is running efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with our production teams to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize productivity. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining the reliability of our operations, reducing downtime, and improving overall plant performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct maintenance hourly employees and oversee subcontractors to meet short- and long-range objectives
  • Plan maintenance/capital budgets through the identification of plant opportunities
  • Ensure project standards and guidelines are applied and adhered to as established
  • Foster a culture of change from reactive to proactive in the approach to asset management and reliability
  • Support Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) initiatives and awareness programs
  • Develop and implement improved maintenance processes aimed at optimizing the overall productivity of the plant

Requirements: To succeed in this role, you must have a strong background in electrical power infrastructure and process control systems, with demonstrated management and financial leadership experience. You should also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities. Additionally, you should be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects, meeting all required deadlines.
