Daycare Assistant Director

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Director to join our daycare team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in an Assistant Director role within a childcare setting and will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the daycare, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the children. This role will also require hands-on assistance in billing, classroom management, and kitchen duties.
Key Responsibilities: Assist the Director in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with all state regulations and licensing requirements. Manage billing processes, including invoicing, payment collection, and record maintenance. Provide support to classrooms by stepping in as needed to assist teachers with lesson plans, student activities, and maintaining a positive learning environment. Help with kitchen duties, including meal preparation, serving, and ensuring that all food safety guidelines are followed. Handle staff scheduling and coordinate with teachers and support staff to ensure adequate coverage. Engage with parents, addressing questions or concerns and ensuring excellent communication between the daycare and families. Support recruitment and training of staff, ensuring all team members are aligned with the daycare's mission and values. Foster a positive and inclusive environment for children, staff, and parents. Qualifications: Associate’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Assistant Director in a childcare or educational setting. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. Experience in billing and administrative tasks. Willingness to assist in classrooms and kitchen duties as needed. Knowledge of state regulations and childcare licensing requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
