Job Title: Adjunct Health Physical Education Instructor

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach Health and Physical Education courses at Muskegon Community College.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach assigned courses, including day, night, and online classes, at the main campus and extension centers.
  • Establish and promote an effective learning environment that maximizes student learning.
  • Prepare and submit reports related to student learning.
  • Grading assignments in a meaningful way and returning graded assignments to students in a timely manner.
  • Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled office hours or by appointment.
  • Encourage student opinion survey completion and review summary information to assist with increasing student success.
  • Maintain levels of professional knowledge and expertise, including compliance training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Teaching experience at the college level.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations representing a wide range of abilities, ages, nationalities, and cultures.
  • Experience with instructional technology preferred.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be able to work in a normal office environment with little discomfort due to heat, dust, noise, and the like. Ability to travel to all campus locations is required.
