Job Title: Adjunct Math Instructor Position

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Math Instructor to join our team at Muskegon Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching mathematics courses at our Grand Haven Campus.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach assigned mathematics courses, including day, night, and online classes.
  • Establish and promote an effective learning environment that maximizes student learning.
  • Prepare and submit reports related to student learning.
  • Grading assignments in a meaningful way to promote continued student growth.
  • Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled and posted times.
  • Maintain levels of professional knowledge and expertise.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in mathematics or 18 credits in the specific discipline.
  • Prefer teaching experience at the college level.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a normal office environment with little discomfort due to heat, dust, noise, and the like. Ability to travel to all campus locations is required.
