Join Our Kitchen Team

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Layne's Chicken Fingers. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing our fresh daily hand-cut chicken, breading it in our uniquely seasoned breading, and frying it to perfection in our state-of-the-art fryers. You will also be responsible for manning our griddle plate, toasting our authentic Texas toasting bread, and grilling our cheese and bacon for our famous club sandwiches.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with front cashier and drive-thru on the number of customers present.
  • Communicate with other cooks on food status and speed.
  • Assist with prep.
  • Ensure the kitchen remains immaculate, cleaning as often as possible.
  • Keep up to pace with orders from both the front and drive-thru.
Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Be at least 16 years of age.
  • Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to lift and carry 55 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a fast-food concept.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
