We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at OhioHealth. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely patient test results, utilizing automation and computerization, as well as manual methods.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to analyze patient samples and provide accurate results.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes.
- Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide timely and accurate test results, and to troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies, and participate in ongoing education and training programs.
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
- Registered by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
- Superior customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience in an automated clinical laboratory setting.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, with a night shift schedule.
