About the Role

HonorHealth is seeking a skilled Oncology Patient Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-related care tasks based on the principles of growth and development across the life span of patients served in your independent unit.
  • Assist, observe, and report patient changes to licensed caregivers and maintain accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered.
  • Collaborate with direct patient care services under the direct supervisor of a licensed caregiver, including personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and implementation of selected portions of the patient care plan as directed.
  • Address and/or direct questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or healthcare team members.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Completion of Block 1 in Nursing or Medical Assistant (MA) or Nursing Assistant (NA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) or 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
