Speech Language Pathologist

As a Speech Language Pathologist with ResponsiveEd, you will play a vital role in providing speech-language pathology services to students with speech disorders. Your expertise will help students overcome communication barriers and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and provide individual and group therapy to students based on their speech and language goals.
• Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for therapy termination.
• Conduct independent evaluations to assess students with speech or language disorders and conditions.
• Participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee to assist in the interpretation of assessment data and goal setting for students with communication disorders or conditions.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom activities to improve communication skills of students.
• Provide professional development in assigned schools to help school personnel identify and understand communication deficits in students.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents regarding therapy goals and student needs.
Requirements:
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited College or University.
• Valid Texas license as a Speech Language Pathologist issued by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SBESLPA).
• 2+ years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced knowledge of Speech-Language Pathology practices, methodologies, and techniques.
• 2+ years of experience working with school-aged children.
• Ability to use accepted tests and measurements to assess communication disorders and conditions.
• Knowledge of evaluation and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders.
• Ability to instruct and manage student behavior.
