Job Summary:The Patient Care Coord/Clinical Research Registered Nurse is a hybrid position that combines patient care and case coordination with clinical research responsibilities. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide patient care and case coordination to individuals with HIV infection, including pre and post-test counseling, education, and referrals.
- Assess patient needs and facilitate appropriate referrals to community-based service providers and hospitals.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with community-based service providers and hospitals to ensure continuity of care.
- Recruit and enroll subjects for clinical research studies and collect data for entry into a RedCap database.
- Provide educational materials to recruited subjects.
- BSN required or BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
- Minimum of 3 years nursing or social work experience.
- Adheres to the American Nurses Association standards.
- Strong attention to detail and customer service focus is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
- Ability to relate effectively to all levels of the clinical and administrative structure of the medical center as well as of other institutions affiliated with the Division of Endocrinology.
- HIV antibody testing and counseling training.
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
- BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire.
