Job Title: Audio Systems Engineer Gateway System

We are seeking a highly skilled Audio Systems Engineer to join our team at Amentum. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing audio systems for the Gateway Program.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support sub-project Audio Electroacoustics Testing of hardware and verification data packages to support requirements, design, verification/validation and operations
  • Develop and support sub-project Audio VoIP or Packetized Audio Testing of hardware and verification data packages to support requirements, design, verification/validation and operations
  • Perform audio engineering functions of projects and provide user input feedback during the design process
  • Perform and review system-level architecture trade studies and analyses that will influence the overall electrical design and performance
  • Participate in test, verification, and operation of the as-built hardware
  • Manage and decompose requirements and support design integration activities across modules and with visiting vehicles
  • Evaluate milestone review materials as it fulfills the audio requirements of the system and engage with module provider companies
  • Work with team members and leads to identify risks, develop risk statements, and plan risk responses
  • Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Requirements:
  • Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering and normally possess 5 - 10 years of related experience. License and certification may be required.
  • 5-10 minimum years of relevant experience in engineering
  • Advanced knowledge or class instruction within the audio domain
  • Experience or advance knowledge of Electroacoustics Testing
  • Experience or advanced knowledge of VoIP or Packetized Audio
  • Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings
  • Able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision
  • Experience working in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited school
  • Knowledge of Flight Hardware and/or Flight Processes/Paperwork
  • Experience with NASA processes
