Orthopedic and Spine Specialty Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Orthopedic and Spine Specialty unit at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
* Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
* Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
* Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
About Our Unit:
* Our newly outfitted unit is committed to the care of post-operative patients and features a well-established care team consisting of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, patient care techs, clinical nurse coordinators, and unit secretaries.
* Our patient-centered therapy gym allows for close collaboration with our therapy team.
Requirements:
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
* Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients, including a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center.
