About the Role

AdventHealth is seeking a skilled Clinical Dietitian PRN to join our team. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a vital role in providing nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy to patients. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized plans for nutrition intervention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert nutrition assessment and evaluation of patients' nutritional status
  • Develop and implement individualized plans for nutrition intervention in accordance with patients' medical program goals and objectives
  • Provide timely and appropriate nutrition intervention and therapy within the scope of practice defined by the hospital
  • Document patient care plans and progress in the medical record
  • Provide professional nutrition counseling and education to patients and their families
Requirements
  • Completion of a didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics (AND)
  • Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, or related area required
  • One year experience in acute care setting preferred
  • Registered dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Florida Department of Health dietitian/nutritionist license
