Job Title: Civil Engineer/Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our team at Paradigm Design. As a key member of our land development and infrastructure team, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects from planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design, and manage the execution of civil engineering projects, including land/site development, roads, water supply systems, sewer collection systems, and drainage systems.
  • Prepare and review project proposals, contracts, budgets, schedules, specifications, drawings, and reports.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal and external parties, including clients, contractors, consultants, regulators, and public agencies.
  • Monitor and control the progress, quality, and performance of projects, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, managing expectations and providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, and manage changes and conflicts.
  • Conduct site inspections/observations to check compliance with permitted design drawings and provide technical support and solutions to field staff and contractors.
  • Lead and motivate a project team, providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting communication, teamwork, and knowledge sharing among team members.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, methods, and tools.
  • Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and construction site visits as needed to support project progress and ensure quality control.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree or diploma in civil engineering technology or related field; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the civil engineering field, preferably in the land development sector.
  • Proficient in using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex and large-scale projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and standards, including site grading, drainage, and utility design.
  • Detail-oriented approach to work, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
