Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our team at Water Works Engineers. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in the planning, design, and execution of critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of civil and environmental engineering projects, focusing on site development, water infrastructure, and environmental compliance.
  • Perform complex calculations and analysis for preliminary and detailed designs, including grading, drainage, and site layout.
  • Prepare detailed reports, plans, and specifications to support project development and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and review cost estimates to support project budgeting and financial feasibility.
  • Review construction submittals to ensure adherence to project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
  • Conduct field inspections to monitor project progress, ensure compliance with project requirements, and address on-site issues.
  • Collaborate with project teams and coordinate with other engineering disciplines to achieve project goals and maintain schedules.
  • Ensure all projects meet relevant industry standards, codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited engineering program.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is strongly preferred.
  • 3-7 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering, focusing on site development, water infrastructure, or related projects.
  • Proficiency in CADD software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Knowledge of hydraulic modeling programs is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform both office and field work as required.
