Job Title: Housekeeping Team Lead
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Team Lead to join our team at BB Development LLC. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for providing on-the-floor supervision, planning team members' weekly shift schedules, and ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-the-floor supervision of housekeeping team members.
- Plan team members' weekly shift schedules.
- Plan work assignments for the shift.
- Inspect work of team members for compliance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.
- Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and take corrective action.
- Respond to housekeeping calls in a timely fashion.
- Coordinate work activities among departments.
- Observe and report on facilities conditions that require attention and/or repair.
- Maintain high level of cleanliness for public areas of the property.
- Conduct orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.
- Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.
- Evaluate records to forecast department personnel requirements.
- Make recommendations to improve service and ensure operation is more efficient.
- Advises manager on supplies and new equipment purchases.
- Performs cleaning duties in cases of emergency or staff shortage.
- Attends staff meetings to discuss company policies and patrons' complaints.
- Issues supplies and equipment to workers.
- Advises manager on standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff.
- Records data regarding work assignments, personnel actions, and prepares periodic reports.
Requirements:
- Removes trash to appropriate areas.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment, such as vacuums, floor machines, scrubbers, extractors, and high lifts.
- Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies in work areas.
- Effectively uses safety equipment and follows all safety and health procedures when using chemicals and equipment.
- Performs other jobs as assigned by the direction of management.
- Required to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must demonstrate ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must possess basic Team Member relation skills.
- Must demonstrate proficient communication skills, written and verbal.
- Must be flexible with schedule.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
May need to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. At other times, the work requires some physical exertion, such as climbing, reaching, standing and walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting. The work environment is one with possible exposure to prolonged loud noise and sometime close quarters.
