Job Title: Release Specialist

Huntington County Community Corrections Department is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Release Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital part in ensuring the successful reintegration of individuals into our community.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily supervision to participants of our Pre-Trial and Community Correction programs. This will involve utilizing evidence-based practices to ensure a secure, safe, and humane environment for individuals in pretrial or post-conviction supervision program status.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the daily supervision of participants in our Pre-Trial and Community Correction programs
  • Utilize prescribed policies and procedures to ensure a secure, safe, and humane environment
  • Provide support and guidance to participants to empower them to make life-changing decisions
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective program delivery
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in criminal justice, social work, or counseling
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with the public and participants
  • Flexibility to work hours outside of business hours (8a-4:30p M-F)
