About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Secure premises, personnel, and guests by patrolling property and maintaining a safe and calm environment through crowd control and monitoring of facility cameras.
  • Confidently maneuver through the facility to complete duties, security checks, or emergency situations, and communicate effectively with guests and employees.
  • Conduct and document routine property walks, including patrols of service corridors, employee break rooms, mechanical and electrical rooms, event halls, and pre-function areas.
  • Control flow of truck and vehicular traffic during move-in and move-out on the loading dock, and restrict access to non-event personnel or employees.
  • Lock and unlock facility doors during routine patrols and upon request, and control access and exit from the facilities loading dock and perform vehicle screening prior to entry or exit.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including the use of CPR and/or AED, and complete detailed reports on activity during shift and maintain a daily log of activities through computer modules and software programs.
  • Operate and monitor computerized fire alarm and surveillance camera systems as required, and maintain constant radio communication with the Command Center.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 6 months of security experience preferred.
  • OPOTA Certification beneficial but not required.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certification required.
  • Valid driver's license or willingness to obtain for required equipment operation.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to display utmost customer service to all clients, guests, and employees.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality as necessary regarding the Company, events, clients, co-workers, and all related matters.
  • Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills, with accuracy being essential.
  • Ability to work and function both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use sound judgment in emergency situations.
Working Conditions

This position requires the duties to be completed in both indoor and outdoor environments, ranging from quiet and noisy atmospheres. The position is exposed to outside weather conditions and temperature changes, adverse weather conditions, dust, dirt, cleaning agent odors, heavy crowds of people, and other working conditions expected within a public forum.
