About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Philosophy courses at St. Louis Community College.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Philosophy courses to students at St. Louis Community College
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student learning and success
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Meet with students during office hours to discuss course material and answer questions
  • Stay current with developments in the field of Philosophy and incorporate relevant topics into course instruction
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to promote student success and retention
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Philosophy or a related field
  • 18 graduate hours in qualified subjects
  • PhD in Philosophy preferred
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators
