Position Overview:

The Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine is responsible for conducting high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures on patients across all age groups utilizing advanced gamma camera technology and related apparatus for effective imaging and image processing.

This role involves the preparation of appropriate radiopharmaceutical doses and the maintenance of meticulous quality control documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards set forth by the Ohio Department of Health and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

The technologist plays a crucial role in educating patients and their families about the procedures performed, ensuring they understand the process and feel comfortable throughout their experience.

Recognizing the individuality of each patient, the technologist is committed to providing compassionate and respectful care, supporting patients' rights to make informed decisions regarding their healthcare.

Collaboration with various departments is essential to ensure a seamless continuum of care for each patient. Additionally, participation in an 'on call' rotation with fellow technologists is required.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures with precision and care.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate quality control records and documentation.
  • Educate patients and families about procedures and care.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Associate's Degree in a relevant scientific field
- 1-2 years of specialized experience in Nuclear Medicine, preferably in a pediatric setting
- Current Licensure/Certification by NMTCB
- CPR Certification
