Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Premier Health Partners. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing Nuclear Medicine procedures, utilizing proper techniques and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures of diagnostic and therapeutic quality as ordered by the referring physician and/or radiologist on patients of all ages according to established protocols.
- Obtain clinical history and data for correlation with the Nuclear Medicine procedure.
- Implement screening and safety measures in accordance with prescribed Nuclear Medicine safety standards.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to the patient according to policy.
- Assist Radiologist in special procedures and in performing medical treatment during emergency situations.
- Coordinate patient care with other areas in order to optimize patient time and satisfaction.
- Assess learning needs and educate patients/families regarding procedures based on individual needs.
- Ensure that all records, files and reports are properly recorded as required.
- Associate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
- CPR Certification required.
- Nuclear Medicine registry required.
- ODH licensure required.
- ARRT RT (R) registry required and/or NMTCB.
- One year experience in specialized field of Nuclear Medicine.
- Knowledge in anatomy and physiology.
- Knowledge of Ohio Department of Health rules & regulations.
- Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Proficient in Radiology Information System (RIS) and Image Storage.
