Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Anchorage. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, energetic team player with 5+ years of experience in electrical design, particularly in vertical construction, alternative energy, or electric utility sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform engineering calculations and develop engineering designs for a variety of projects, including energy modeling, liquid and gaseous fuels, electrical system modeling, and renewable energy systems.
- Support multi-faceted, multi-discipline projects in the electric utility, industrial, government, and private commercial sectors.
- Work closely with a team of engineers, operators, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects.
- Develop and maintain technical reports and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Engineer in Training certificate (EIT) or passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.
- Registration as P.E. is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical design in the AEC industry.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks with supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the National Electrical Code.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering and construction practices.
- Past experience with a multi-discipline engineering/consulting firm or construction firm.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit production work.
