Job Title: Principal Engineer Systems Design/Architecture Engineering

Analog Devices, Inc. is a global leader in semiconductor technology, bridging the physical and digital worlds to enable breakthroughs at the Intelligent Edge.

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Systems Architecture, Signal Processing and Algorithm Engineer to join our system design group.

This role will involve working on state-of-the-art technologies for the next generation products in communication, and wireless systems, where you will participate in the innovation of products and solutions with a wide range of market applications.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for a specific product or group of products through their entire life cycle, actively participating in all phases of product development from definition to evaluation, characterization, test, and support of the product from inception through final product release.

You will leverage your peer leadership and strong technical skills as you work with team members to develop solutions for the system functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Simulate and analyze signal processing chains
  • System partitioning into hardware and software
  • System evaluation of hardware and software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to develop algorithmic software in embedded systems
  • Passion for working with team members to evaluate and debug the design in the Lab
Qualifications:
  • MS or PhD in electrical engineering or computer science
  • 10 or 5 years of minimum experience in algorithm development and implementation on a real-time embedded software platform
  • Experience in signal processing theory and algorithm development
  • Experience with embedded platforms & embedded software development paradigms
  • Ability to work in distributed development environment
  • Strong coding and programming skills (C/C++, Matlab/Simulink, or similar preferred)
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (Jira, Trac, etc.)
  • Experience with SCM (GIT, etc.) development process is a plus
  • Strong communication skills as they will be developing requirements and design documents
  • Knowledge of communication theory codes
  • Knowledge of processor and DSP architectures
  • Knowledge of digital design and RTL
