Job SummaryThe Inspector Intern will be responsible for conducting building inspections for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of specifications and plans, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities- Ensure daily compliance and resolve construction-related issues.
- Conduct inspections in an efficient manner, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Verify materials, equipment, and procedures meet project specifications.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and supervisors regarding project specifications and plans.
- Review shop drawings and quality of construction work per contract specifications and plans.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot existing construction.
- Travel to work sites.
- Prepare written reports in accordance with qualification tests.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering or a similar discipline.
- 0-2 years' experience in construction, engineering, and/or architecture in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Independent and critical thinking.
- Ability to work logically and systematically, with good time management skills.
- Basic IT literacy and ability to manage and communicate electronic information.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to speak effectively.
- Self-starter who can work independently and with team members.
