Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality patient care in accordance with applicable law and regulations, accepted standards of nursing practice, and Interim HealthCare policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in partnership with patients, representatives, and caregivers.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of patient care plans.
  • Provide ordered services and treatments requiring substantial and specialized nursing skills.
  • Counsel and educate patients and families on healthcare-related needs.
  • Initiate preventative and rehabilitative nursing procedures as needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient care outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Supervise paraprofessional staff and assign home care aides to patients.
  • Participate in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs.
  • Engage in ongoing education and training to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license in the state(s) of practice.
  • At least 1200 hours of experience as an RN or completion of the Office's preceptor program.
  • Current CPR certification for adults, children, and infants.
  • Basic understanding of computers and workplace software.
  • Effective communication skills in English with all levels of the workforce.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound clinical judgments.
