Under the guidance of supervisory personnel, the responsibilities of this role encompass:

  • Proficient understanding of tools, techniques, and materials utilized in the operation, upkeep, and repair of both high and low pressure steam and hot water boilers, as well as heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, and associated auxiliary apparatus; awareness of occupational hazards and safety protocols pertinent to heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration operations; familiarity with standard practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment within the air conditioning and refrigeration sector, including chillers, water towers, pumps, air handlers, thermostats, pneumatic and electric controls, condensers, and heat pumps.
  • Execution of electrical, plumbing, and welding tasks related to heating and air conditioning systems; adept use of a diverse array of hand and power tools, welding apparatus, and specialized tools pertinent to heating and air conditioning repairs; preparation and maintenance of maintenance reports, daily logs, and procurement documents; ability to read and interpret equipment service manuals and technical references.
  • Utilization of tools and testing equipment employed in air conditioning and refrigeration repair, such as ammeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, leak detectors, pneumatic calibration gauges, water flow meters, air measuring instruments, welding equipment, and refrigerant charging devices.

Required Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a recognized HVACR apprenticeship program; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Schedule

Monday to Saturday, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM - Days may vary based on location and staffing needs.

Compensation

Grade 32 Step 5 - $69,258.96
