Job Summary

We seek a Special Education Teacher to join our team at Rocky Mountain Prep. As a Special Education Teacher, you will work to identify the needs of each scholar, maintain a productive learning environment, and collaborate with colleagues to support each scholar to meet their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and teach daily student interventions, providing individualized instruction based on scholar needs in multiple content areas.
  • Analyze scholar data and use it to provide scholar feedback and set IEP goals.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, school leaders, service providers, and families to ensure that instruction meets the needs of each learner.
  • Case manage the IEPs of scholars on the caseload, including FBAs, BIPs, and scheduling IEP meetings.
  • Create and implement IEPs and evaluations that meet CDE quality standards for Special education.
Requirements
  • Current Colorado teaching license with a special education generalist and/or special education specialist endorsement(s).
  • Special Education teachers must be certified in Colorado. If your license is from another state, you will need to have the transfer complete before the first day of work.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum two years of lead teaching experience.
  • History of working with special needs populations.
  • Understand ABC data collection.
  • History of case management.
  • CPI/NCI Trained.
Benefits

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with a salary range of $62,000 to $96,800 depending on experience and level of education.
