Job Title: Special Education Teacher

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a dedicated and innovative Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education to students with diverse needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in a classroom setting.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum materials and educational software.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to ensure student success.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
  • State teaching license and/or certification in special education.
  • Experience working with students with special needs, particularly those with autism, emotional disturbance, and specific learning disabilities.
  • Knowledge of Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
