Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to work in our Ambulatory Care department, providing primary health care services to patients with oncology and hematology conditions. The successful candidate will collaborate with physicians, evaluate and monitor health status, perform diagnostic and therapeutic services, provide age-appropriate education and counseling, and prescribe medications within their scope of practice.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with physicians to deliver comprehensive patient care
  • Evaluate and monitor health status, identifying potential treatment needs
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic services, including prescription medication management
  • Provide age-appropriate education and counseling on disease prevention, management, and health maintenance
  • Coordinate referrals for specialty care or social service support as needed
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with additional training through an advanced studies program designed to prepare a Registered Nurse for advanced practice as a Nurse Practitioner
  • In experience in ambulatory care/primary care setting
  • Licensed to practice within the State of Minnesota or Wisconsin, and certified through a national professional nursing organization as a Certified Nurse Practitioner in the specialty of adult, family, pediatric or OB/GYN
  • BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military Training Network
Preferred Qualifications
  • Family practice experience
Physical Demands and Environment

The selected candidate must be able to meet the physical demands of primary care practice, which include prolonged standing/walking, considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
