About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Electrical Controls Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As an HVAC Electrical Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation and checkout of various systems, utilizing codes, company procedures, engineering drawings, and personal analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and terminate controls equipment as needed, ensuring compliance with local and national codes, standards, and customer system requirements.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure confidence and satisfaction with system installations.
- Collaborate with electrical contractors as required to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct thorough checks of wiring and terminations using test instruments as needed.
- Maintain accurate records, including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
- Communicate effectively with customers, management, and colleagues to ensure smooth project progression.
- Adhere to Johnson Controls International's safety programs and policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Electrical apprenticeship or formal training in electrical installation techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Working knowledge of local codes as they apply to controls.
- Experience in scope determination of installation materials.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Four years' experience directly with controls installations.
- Journeyman's level electrical licensure.
