Job Title: Admissions and Recruitment Specialist

Monroe Community College is seeking a highly motivated and organized Admissions and Recruitment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our admissions team, you will play a critical role in developing and executing a comprehensive recruitment and admissions strategy to increase student enrollment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement recruitment and admissions strategies to meet enrollment goals
  • Provide admissions, academic advisement, and financial aid guidance to prospective students
  • Conduct admissions appointments, presentations, and workshops on and off campus
  • Evaluate and make admissions decisions on applications, assist with transfer credit evaluations, and manage applications within an assigned territory
  • Maintain familiarity with credit and non-credit program offerings at the College
  • Coordinate recruitment activities to support partnerships with high schools, community agencies, and businesses
  • Utilize technology and software systems to efficiently manage recruitment, marketing, and admissions processes
Requirements:
  • Earned Associate's degree or above
  • Knowledge of the philosophy of the community college
  • Effective communication (interpersonal, speaking, and writing) skills
  • Ability to meet the College's driving requirements and travel to recruitment visits within Monroe and surrounding counties
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as designated by supervisor
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a college admissions office
  • Experience with student information systems
  • Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently
