**Job Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced Terminal Management Professional to join our team at Dunavant Enterprises. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of intermodal dispatch operations, working closely with customers and internal stakeholders to meet their needs.

About the Role:

The Terminal Management Professional will be responsible for:

  • Container Management: Ensuring containers are dropped in accordance with customer needs and/or requests.
  • Pre-Dispatching: Pre-dispatching the afternoon before for early morning deliveries.
  • Chargeback Prevention: Monitoring last free day and return dates to avoid chargebacks to the company and/or customer.
  • Driver Dispatch: Dispatching all drivers to/from container yards.
  • Rate Quoting: Quoting rates (does not negotiate).
  • Yard Checks: Performing yard checks on containers on the yard.
  • Container and Chassis Checks: Checking containers and chassis as they enter/leave the yard.
  • Problem Resolution: Working any problems on the yard.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Notifying M&R of any maintenance issues and receiving work orders from M&R for repairs.
  • Team Support: Assisting in recruitment and retention of drivers; maintaining team balance (miles/trucks).
  • Customer Service: Providing customer service as needed.
  • Data Entry: Entering information into several computer programs, including TMW and Outlook.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education: Associate degree (AA) from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional Skills: Must possess professional skills deemed necessary to interact with vendors, independent contractors, and other employees of the organization on a corporate level.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Writing Skills: Ability to write simple correspondence and to effectively present information to vendors, independent contractors, and other employees of the organization.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
  • Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Work Conditions:

This role requires:

  • Sedentary Physical Activity: Sedentary physical activity requiring reaching, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, and hearing.
  • Visual Requirements: Visual requirement is for close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Time Spent Looking at Computers: 90% or more time is spent looking directly at a computer.
  • Physical Demands: Employee is frequently required to stand, walk (or otherwise be mobile). Employee is frequently required to lift and carry a minimum of 15 pounds.

Salary: The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
