Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and delegate daily tasks to the branch operations team.
  • Conduct interviews, hire, and train new associates; manage work assignments.
  • Oversee payroll timekeeping and approve time-off requests for direct reports.
  • Assist operations teams with their daily tasks as needed.
  • Coordinate with dedicated fleet providers, trucking companies, and temporary staffing agencies.
  • Engage with external vendors for facility or equipment repairs.
  • Utilize the company’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) for operational transactions, including pick lists, delivery notes, and inventory management.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and completion of cycle counts.
  • Administer safety protocols and forklift certification processes.
  • Conduct daily inspections of all forklifts.
  • Manage workflow in the gate shop, including production and quality control documentation.
  • Provide effective leadership and foster a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and branch manager to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a managerial role within warehouse operations.
  • Proficient understanding of warehouse, yard, and delivery operations.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts or warehouse equipment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, a proactive attitude, and a strong customer service focus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Strong inventory management capabilities.
  • Proficient in WMS, MS Office, and other web-based applications.
